Winter EP 2016!
In anticipation of the upcoming new album, The Midnight Contingent, a small, intimate evening by the fire. The snow falls thick and slow outside, and we gather by the hearth to share stories. The spirits have come to dance in the falling stars, and so do we join in their joyous vigil as the longest night of the year sets upon us...
Summer EP benefitting InterFilk!
It started as a joke that Alexander James Adams made about SJ Tucker. The outfit she was wearing at a show made him think of a Hot McGonagall, like it was something she would have worn in her 20's going out to the jazz clubs. s00j told this story at the beginning of her show at FKO and Lizzie started writing furiously. By the end of the set, when it was time for Lizzie to join in and sing on Cheshire Kitten, because ya’know, that’s what they do, the lyric was done.
All proceeds from this album go to InterFilk, an international organization dedicated to the musical community of science fiction and fantasy. Downloads are available through Bandcamp. Physical CD's are available with an additional shipping charge of $2 HERE.
Once upon an evening stroll...
Cheshire Moon is the fanciful collaboration of trickster bird Lizzie Crowe and crazed magician Eric Coleman. What began as a simple joining of two talents in song circles, and occasionally during the mad-hatter antics of Eric Coleman on stage, whipped and frothed into the most likely of pairs. Eric’s love of punk, folk and prog rock gives them an eerie, otherworldly sound, while Lizzie brings the voice of that otherworld to life in voice and verse. Together they weave song and story, breathing new life into old myths, new faces onto old gods, and finally telling the princess's side of the faerie tale.
Together they bring about a torrent that is as playful as it is lightly sinister, all wrapped up in a pretty little beribboned box. Do you dare to open it?
A dream is just a reality that you have not yet brought into being. What are you waiting for?
